Hazardex 2016 Conference & Exhibition goes down a storm - bigger and better promised for 2017!
08 March 2016
Hazardex 2016, the International Conference & Exhibition for hazardous area and process safety specialists which took place on February 24 & 25 in Runcorn, UK , has been given a resounding vote of confidence. By early March, 100% of the large proportion of attendees who provided feedback had rated the event ‘good, ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’.
Keynote Speech - HSE/HID Director Paul Logan
The Conference & Exhibition aims to strengthen and expand the community that looks to the Hazardex website and journal for industry intelligence and information, and the 2016 event seems to have achieved this across the board.
Compared with the last event in 2014, the conference programme was a third longer and delegate numbers were also up by a third. Special praise was reserved for the quality of the presentations and the positive and focused atmosphere throughout, with the efficient organisation also gaining plaudits.

George Petrie, Human Resources Engineer at Total E&P UK and a speaker at the conference, said: “We really enjoyed the conference, and I think our safety engineers would benefit from going to the next one.”
Exhibitors were up 32% on 2014 and exhibition visitor numbers increased by 36%. A large majority of exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the quality of contacts they had made, to the extent that 75% had rebooked for next year’s event before the show closed!
Event Director Russell Goater - See you next year!
Alan Mellows, Managing Director of R Stahl UK and an exhibitor, said: “Feedback from my team, who have been to many shows, was that you got it just right for us. Right people, right time.”
We aim to do even better in 2017 and will be putting together an even stronger conference programme over the next few months. Next year's event will be taking place at the same venue, the Holiday Inn Hotel in Runcorn, Cheshire, on March 2 & 3.
