Arkansas military pyrotechnics plant explosion injures two

25 May 2016

The Esterline Defense Technologies plant in East Camden, Arkansas, has been closed since May 23 when an explosion injured two workers. The company said it was working with area authorities to investigate the cause of the explosion at the plant, which produces pyrotechnic devices such as torpedo decoy systems, infrared decoy flares and anti-ship missile countermeasures.

Both workers suffered burns and lacerations in the blast and are said to be in stable condition.
