The ATEX group worldwide continues to launch new products as part of its research and development commitment to solving process safety problems.

ATEX CO Monitoring, or ACOM, is now becoming a standard in CO monitoring in most Milk Powder Drying plants. This can sniff powder incidents before they become a fire or potential explosion event.

Atex Float Valve is a passive protection system. This is an improved explosion barrier valve for explosion isolation in dust-laden pipelines. Previous systems offered could not handle the product flow without major restrictions to the dust loading, or had to be monitored for dust fallout because of their design limitations.

Explosion Suppression or Fast Fire Extinguishing, using a range of extinguishing media (powder and hot water) to suit a wider range of hazards.  The first explosion suppression valve using gas generator, non-explosive actuated release system, with fully monitored mechanical and electrical interlocks.

Explosion Isolation Slam Shut Valves, for a wide range of sizes and speeds at very reasonable prices. We can now combine suppression and cheaper fast acting valves in sizes greater than 1000mm to stop explosion propagation down large conveying systems.

A wide range of Explosion Vents for flat or curved applications, flame or flameless application at Kst up to 500 bar m/s and Pmax 10 barg to a Pred of <2.3barg with durable hygienic covers. If necessary, we can manufacture sizes to suit the client’s requirements.

ATEX Explosion Hazards Limited in the UK and Ireland can offer Self-Re-Closing Explosion Doors, very popular in the aggressive environments of the coal and cement industry.

Explosion Sensors with 2 and 3 sensor combinations which are rate of rise, integrated to minimise electrical interference. They can distinguish between real or mechanical pressure profiles using black box technology in real time data.  The client can now download the last 4 incidents even if the power is shut off and interrogate the difference.

ATEX are proud and confident to be working with these new systems and we invite you take a better look at our new website, where we provide more detailed specifications, tailored solutions, videos and images.  We update our news on incidents and their consequences to keep you up to date with the challenges facing process industry.
