A string of explosions in a Czech armaments factory has injured 19, with three in a critical condition, officials said on February 23. Firefighters quoted by the Czech news agency CTK said the building hit by the explosions was isolated from the rest of the plant.

The regional rescue service said three people suffered serious injuries, mostly burns, and were in a critical condition. They were transported by helicopter to hospital. Four rescuers were also injured in the blasts.
