Madrid’s regional government ordered an evacuation of schools and workplaces within a 500m radius of the site over fears that hazardous materials could have spread outside the periphery of the site.

According to the Efe news agency, two of the three seriously injured people are employees of the company and have severe burns. The third has a pelvic fracture due to a fall caused by the blast wave of one of the explosions.
