UK recycling plant blast kills worker, injures two others

West Midlands Police said that a worker died following an industrial accident at a recycling plant in Oldbury, west of Birmingham, on August 7. The man suffered 'very serious burns' in the incident at the Innovative Environmental Solutions factory and subsequently died, emergency services confirmed. Two other workers also sustained burns in the incident and were in a stable condition.

The Birmingham Mail said the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) confirmed it was aware of the incident and would investigate.
