Four labourers died on the night of December 20 after a boiler exploded at Sasa Musa sugar mill in Bihar’s Gopalganj district. Local sources said that at the time of the explosion, there were at least 100 workers in the sugar factory.

On November 5, at least 15 labourers were injured, seven of them seriously, when a fire broke out at a sugar mill in Haryana following an explosion in an oil tank. The blast followed a leakage in the boiler, police said.
