Manager injured in explosion at Bangladeshi gas plant after striking match

According to the Dhaka Tribune, witnesses said an explosion occurred when the field manager of the RPGCL oil and gas plant in Gopalganj, Sylhet, struck a match to check a leaking petrol supply line on December 29. The manager received serious burn injuries in the blast and was taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College for treatment.

Gopalganj police station Officer-in-Charge Fazlul Haque Shibli said a team of the law enforcement officials had visited the location where the incident took place.
