Blast at Turkish explosives plant kills one

A blast at a state-owned explosives factory in the Elmadag district on the outskirts of the Turkish capital Ankara killed one worker and injured four others, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported on May 24.
The blast occurred at a Mechanical and Chemical Industry Cooperation plant. The injured workers were hospitalised, the agency reported, and there was no immediate information on their condition.
Local media said officials had ruled out sabotage.
