Two injured in electrical panel blast at Texas coatings plant

An explosion and fire on January 24 at the Aegion Coating Services production plant in Conroe, Texas, left two people with injuries and forced workers to evacuate the facility, local news organisations reported. The incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office.

An electrical panel exploded as two electricians were working, causing serious burn injuries, coverage by Conroe-Montgomery County Patch said. They were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Aegion Coating Services, based in Conroe, serves the industrial, mining, oil and gas, and municipal water industries, according to the company’s website.
