Three killed in Indian steel mill blast

The New Indian Express reported that three persons were killed and five others critically injured in a gas pipeline explosion at a steel melting factory in Uthiramerur, Tamil Nadu, on March 5. All the injured persons suffered over 80% burns. Four of the injured have been admitted to a private hospital and another to a local medical college.

The police have detained three factory officials as part of an inquiry into the blast.
