One dead, three injured in blast at Czech explosives plant

One of the workers injured in the November 1 blast at the Explosia explosives manufacturing plant in Pardubice, Czech Republic, died of his injuries two days later. Three remaining employees are in critical condition in hospital, according to local media.

Explosia is state-owned and makes a range of demolition, mining and military explosive products, including Semtex plastic explosive.

The Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Karel HavlĂ­cek, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.

The cause of the blast is currently under investigation.
