Company celebrates its 70th anniversary
23 April 2009
When Georgin was created in 1939, Marcel Georgin, could not have possibly imagined the evolution of his small workshop located in the Desnouettes Street in the 15th district of Paris, where some high-quality electric regulators were made by craftsmen.
After 30 years of business, the company, which was taken over by Jean Denisselle, took a new step by adding the production of pressure and temperature sensors to its original activity.
A little later, the arrival of electronics in the industry led the Company to create the “Intrinsic Safety" pole, a new technology for explosive areas, of which Georgin was a precursor in this field.
The company was at its peak between the years 1974 and 1990, when it accompanied the rise of nuclear energy in France.
The Company has freed itself from political and economic risks due to the technological and strategic guidance it has been given. The company was therefore able to enter the twenty-first century by consolidating its areas of expertise and adding other skills.
Today a renewal of world interest in nuclear energy and a growing expansion on the Export side, has given new energy to the company which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
Thanks to its recognised know-how and skills, Georgin is currently preparing the future with its customers and partners
The continuity of Georgin is assured by the recent incorporation of Denisselle 's grandson into the company He will takeover the management very soon.
