Smith Flow to showcase EasiDrive at Offshore Europe, Stand 4B141

29 August 2013

SFC will showcase its portable valve actuator, EasiDrive at Offshore Europe 2013 in Aberdeen. EasiDrive is used to operate valves in the Oil & Gas industry and is ideally suited to valves with a high number of turns, high torque or those operated in difficult climatic conditions. Simon Read, SFC’s project sales manager, will be demonstrating the EasiDrive system on the stand.

“Workers can strain themselves while manually operating valves so we introduced the EasiDrive System as a solution to their problem,” Simon said. “It is time consuming to open and close large valves that are not actuated. Two operators can spend almost 20 minutes working together to open just one gate valve. By using the EasiDrive system, one operator can open the valve in a few minutes, making it almost effortless.”

At the exhibition, Smith Flow Control will be sharing a stand with its sister company Elfab, a leading manufacturer of rupture discs and bursting panels.

Elfab will be showcasing its new Ex d-approved burst detection system, Flo-Tel XD on the stand. Non-invasive and fail-safe, Flo-Tel XD negates the need for intrinsic safety barriers, making it more cost-effective than previous models. Elfab will also be showing products from its range of rupture discs and burst detection systems.

Smith Flow Control and Elfab will be on Stand 4B141.
