Ampac appointment set to fire expansion into new markets

Ampac Europe has appointed Robin Edmunds as Regional Director to head up the company’s Fire Detection and Alarm Systems business growth in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Robin brings with him considerable international fire industry experience. Following more than 11 years as an expatriate General Manager working in the Middle East and South-East Asia for a World leading Oilfield Service Company, he has worked for a number of leading fire sector companies with International Sales Director responsibilities for the development of global sales strategies and the creation of distributor networks for the USA, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Russia and Africa.

Robin is a Chartered Engineer with a B.Eng. (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool and a Masters' Degree in Business Administration. Married, Robin is a keen golfer, and a Japanese and French speaker

Ampac Europe is responsible for the marketing, assembly and distribution of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for commercial, industrial and multi residential buildings across Europe, and for the distribution of equipment to the Middle East and Africa.

Located at Alton Hampshire, the company has recently won LPCB Approval for its new FireFinder PLUS Addressable Control Panel for the European, African and Middle Eastern markets.
