Five injured in Wyoming shale gas explosion

A tank explosion and fire at an Encana facility in the Jonah natural gas field in Wyoming on November 23 injured five contractors, one critically. A drilling rig near the facility was not impacted. The company said welding work was being conducted on condensate tanks when the blast occurred.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified and is responding to the incident. No environmental impact as a result of the incident has been determined at this time, Encana said.
