Three feared dead after explosion at Russian synthetic fibre plant

The Siberian Times said an explosion at the Novosibirsk Synthetic Fibre Plant on May 7 killed at least least two, with another worker missing. The Emergencies Ministry website said 37 people and 13 units of equipment were involved in the rescue and post-incident mitigation in the number eight workshop at the plant.

'Two people died, one can still be under ruins of collapsed workshop after explosion at Novosibirsk Plant of Synthetic Fibre,' reported Itar-Tass.

No reason was given for the cause of the explosion.
