New iWAP107 - Releasing Wi-FI efficiency in hazardous areas

Extronics has recently launched the iWAP107 - an ATEX & IECEx certified Zone 1 access point enclosure system that delivers dramatic performance improvements and cost benefits compared to basic Ex d box solutions. The new iWAP107 system allows the latest MIMO Access Points from market leaders such as Cisco and Aruba to be easily deployed in Zone 1 hazardous areas, improving wireless performance and reliability. 

The system employs Extronics unique iSOLATE500 RF galvanic isolators which makes all RF outputs intrinsically safe. This allows standard non-certified antennas to be used; greatly reducing cost whilst providing significant performance gains.  The iSOLATE500 also allows conventional wiring of RF connections which dramatically reduces both install and maintenance times.
