How can you manufacture explosion-proof equipment and systems to world-class safety requirements?

09 September 2014

Depending upon the Zone of usage, electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment intended for use in potentially hazardous environments must be independently evaluated for their impact on overall safety. The European Union’s ATEX Directive and the IECEx Certified Product Scheme are two assessment routes used for the safety of equipment used in such environments.

TÜV SÜD have put together a white paper to help you learn about the technical requirements of the ATEX Directive and the IECEx Scheme.  For more information and to download the white paper, please visit our website:

In addition to this white paper TÜV SÜD provides regular half day seminars on ATEX from their head office and testing laboratory in Fareham, Hampshire.

Upcoming dates:
·  16th October
·  11th November
·  16th December
