Five killed in India packaging factory explosion

Five workers were killed and seven others  sustained severe injuries after a boiler at the Alpha packaging factory in Silvassa, Gujarat, exploded on January 8. Local sources said the blast took place during welding work on a boiler.

Ten people were injured, seven seriously, and a wall of the factory collapsed. Neighbouring buildings were shaken by the blast. Silvassa police have opened an investigation into the incident.
