ExVeritas opens new CompEx Competency Validation Centres in North West England and Cork, Ireland - Book now for 2015!
23 April 2015
ExVeritas has opened a large, practical training and CompEx assessment Centre in the North West (between Chester and Wrexham) and has partnered with Jones Engineering Services in Ireland to open the first CompEx Centre in Ireland.
The CompEx Inspection & Installation Certificate of Core Competence is based on practical assessment and a written theory exam taken over 2 days. It is preceded with an intensive 3-day course with practical demonstrations and hands on-training. As ExVeritas is also an ATEX Notified Body, we have 250 years Ex experience within our company, including specialist instructors in many areas such as area classification or intrinsic safety, this means we can answer all of your questions, all of the time. The ExVeritas Ex01-Ex04 Course also includes updates and advice on the latest 2014 editions of EN/IEC 60079-14 and 17 and IECEx Equipment Schemes.
Our Ex01-Ex04 modules are presented by a lecturer with over 20 years’ practical experience in this field including 10 years teaching CompEx courses and participating in CompEx working groups (including assisting with the development of Ex12). Our course fully addresses theoretical and practical requirements of core competence examinations and has a very ‘practical’ style of teaching prior to the assessment.
We also offer Ex01-Ex04 refresher course, which must be attended prior to the expiry date of an issued 5-year certificate. If you are a designer, we offer a very successful EX 12 for Designers Course, and for people new to the subject or with a less ‘hands on‘ role we offer the very popular CompEx Foundation Course -all with Nationally Recognised and UKAS Accredited Competency Certification from CompEx.
CompEx is an internationally accredited core competency validation qualification for Electrical, Instrument & Mechanical Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians and Operatives who need to develop and demonstrate their competency in the selection, installation, inspection and maintenance of Ex apparatus in potentially explosive atmospheres.
ExVeritas is a UKAS accredited UK ATEX Notified Body and experienced CompEx Assessment Centre. The company has over 250 year’s collective experience in ATEX and Ex Training & Certification and its trainers are acknowledged experts in the field of explosion prevention. ExVeritas is also an IECEx accredited Test Laboratory. Our membership of International Ex Standards development committees ensures that we always deliver the most up-to-date safety and standardisation information to the delegates that attend our courses.
