Egypt power plant blast kills two

Two staff died and a third was injured following an explosion inside the Al-Korymat power station in Giza on the morning of May 15, according to an Egyptian Interior Ministry statement. The explosion was caused by an oxygen cylinder exploding as workers were conducting routine maintenance on the electricity plant. The casualty was transferred to hospital, according to MENA.
Civil defence troops rushed to the scene, but found the incident was not due to terrorist activity.
MENA said there was no disruption to power supplies.
