ISA100.11a at work (06 August 2010)
The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute has installed a multi-vendor User Test of the technology at an Arkema plant in Crosby, Texas, demonstrating interoperability among devices from multiple vendors. Arkema is a €5.6B diversified global chemicals manufacturer with 80 industrial sites in more than 40 countries and six research and development centres.

High performance two-wire magnetic flowmeter (09 July 2010)
The Yokogawa ADMAG AXR is a two-wire magnetic flowmeter that uses dual-frequency excitation technology. To date, most magnetic flowmeters have been of the four-wire type, where high accuracy and performance are achieved by using a dedicated power-supply cable that is separate from the signal cable used for the measurement current output.

Float-type flowmeters are approved for hazardous areas (28 January 2009)
Yokogawa has enhanced its Rotameter family of float-type flowmeters with the introduction of a patented float-blocking indication system. The RAMC flowmeter automatically detects any problems with the free movement of the float and is approved for hazardous areas.

United Nations Global Compact (19 January 2009)

Enhanced version of ProSafe-RS Safety Instrumented System (21 November 2008)

Data-acquisition and display station (05 November 2008)
Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces the release of the DXAdvanced R3 data-acquisition and display station for networks. The DXAdvanced is a paperless recorder with built-in panel, and offers integrated display, recording, and communication functions. Two models are available: one with a 5.5-inch LCD panel and up to 12 input channels, and the other with a 10.4-inch LCD panel and up to 48 input channels.

Award winner provides physical layer for fieldbus solution (01 May 2008)
Co-operation between Yokogawa and Pepperl+Fuchs has resulted in a solution for managing the physical layer of Foundation fieldbus H1, released last month as a diagnostic solution for Yokogawa’s Plant Resource Manager (PRM). The Advanced Diagnostics Module (ADM) was a winner at this year’s HazardEx International Awards.
