At least 11 killed in Saudi Aramco compound fire 01 September 2015

A fire at a residential compound for foreign workers of Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil giant, killed at least 11 people and injured more than 200 on August 30, according to local officials. The cause of the blaze at the Khobar compound, in the east of the country, has yet to be determined.Saudi Aramco operates several gated compounds for its foreign workforce in Saudi Arabia....

Three killed in Saudi offshore rig incident 03 January 2014

Saudi Aramco said in a statement that the bodies of three expatriate workers had been recovered after a mobile maintenance platform sank in the Al-Safaniya offshore oilfield area on December 27. Two of the dead were Indians and the third was a Bangladeshi, the statement said....

Saudi refinery leak kills one 10 May 2013

On May 6 one person was killed in a gas leak incident at Saudi Aramco’s Jeddah refinery, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The incident took place during routine maintenance and that the “limited” leakage was immediately stopped and the accident has not affected the company’s operations....

The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) and ConocoPhillips have halted the bidding process associated with the construction of the planned 400,000 barrel-per-day export refinery at the Yanbu Industrial City, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, citing uncertainties in the financial and contracting markets.
