It is time to take a stand on fake PPE (28 February 2011)
Buying a fake watch may be illegal but it is unlikely to be life threatening. Supplying fake personal protective equipment (PPE) however could be the difference between life and death. Cleaning up our act in leaky situations (25 May 2010)

Awareness campaign receives resounding support (24 March 2010)
The British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) officially launched the Clean Air? Take Care! campaign last week at a special event held at The Cabinet War Rooms in London. Developed in conjunction with the HSE and other leading industry stakeholders, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of exposure to hazardous substances such as dusts, fumes and solvent vapours, which could cause occupational respiratory diseases.

Appeal for safer practices when working at height (01 February 2010)
Falls from height still cause the most serious of incidents resulting in a quarter of all major injuries and are still the most common kind of workplace accident causing fatality, with provisional figures showing that 58 people died from a fall from height at work in 2007/08.

Be aware what you breath (03 August 2009)
Operators who regularly face respiratory hazards at work are putting their health in serious danger if they are not properly protected. Workers in the process industries are at a particularly high risk due to the nature of the sector where dust and vapour clouds can be commonplace. Often the effects of working unprotected may not emerge straight away, but cause serious problems later on in life.

Shielding the market against counterfeit and illegal products (27 May 2009)
Worker safety in the UK is currently being undermined by the increasing, presence of counterfeit and illegal safety equipment entering the country. Whilst the matter of fake products may be of debatable consequence in many aspects of life, when it comes to the workplace, poor protection can actually put health and, ultimately, lives at risk.
