Extronics exhibited its range of hazardous area equipment at Hannover Messe. Some of the products that the company showcased included the iCAM 501 zone 0 intrinsically safe digital camera - which they say is 'the perfect visualisation tool for use in hazardous areas'. The company adds that ATEX and IECEx certified, the iCAM501 can be used in all sectors of industry including Chemical & Pharmaceutical plants, Oil & Gas production platforms, Refineries and Mining to name but a few. read more...

Supplying power to critical equipment in Zone 2 (02 September 2009)
Extronics has launched the iUPS200 Zone 2 uninterruptible power supply system. The system is certified for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas and provides back up power for up to 85 minutes, at 75W full load. Critical equipment is protected in the event of a blackout or brownout. read more...

Extronics launches the iWAP103 (22 July 2008)
Extronics has launched the iWAP103, an ATEX approved zone 1 universal access point enclosure. The iWAP103 is protected to IP66 standard. Other features include a 110/230 VAC or 24 VDC power supply, multi-mode fibre optic ethernet connection, antenna lightning arrestors and a heater to extend the temperature range of the wireless equipment to -20 Deg C. read more...
