Hazardex 2021 Conference & Exhibition
Event: Hazardex 2021 Conference & Exhibition
Date: 16 June 2021 to 17 June 2021
Location: Harrogate, United Kingdom
Description: The ongoing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and therefore the potential risk to health of exhibitors and attendees means we have taken the decision to move the Hazardex 2021 event from February 2021, to June 16th & 17th 2021 at the Hilton Majestic Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK. As part of this year’s event we will be providing a virtual access option to all streams for any delegates unable to attend in person due to travel restrictions or health risk concerns.
All participants were enthusiastic about the change in venue for Hazardex 2020, with the Majestic Hotel – now a Double Tree by Hilton establishment – offering much improved facilities and accommodation
The main focus of Hazardous Area Operations and Process Safety at the two-day event & conference was complemented in 2020 with Personnel Protection Technology (PPT) content, as well as coverage of the evolving areas of autonomous solutions and cybersecurity.
The Hazardex event has led the way since launching in 2002, with prominent high hazard industry stakeholders addressing the conference. The 2020 event was no different, with a similarly eminent roll call of presenters in place that included the HSE, Chemical Industry Association, IECEx, Chemical Business Association, Institute of Measurement & Control, UKPIA, and Brenntag.
The free-to-attend exhibition is an equally important element, with leading hazardous area sector companies displaying their products and services to the assembled professional audience.
As in previous years, the event included workshops, free seminar content, a networking dinner and awards ceremony, all aiming to strengthen and expand the community that looks to the Hazardex website and journal for industry intelligence and information.
The 2020 event again provided exceptional opportunities for networking, with attendees from government agencies, regulators, certification bodies & training providers, consultants and product manufacturers meeting up with senior engineers and safety managers from the high hazard and process industry owner/operators to share their experiences.
The informal, very well attended Awards dinner at the end of the event’s first day consisted of a drinks reception and Gala Dinner. The Hazardex Awards for Excellence are designed to recognise excellence in the hazardous area sector and has become the benchmark for those supplying products, services and systems.
Thank you to all exhibitors, speakers, delegates, and visitors for contributing to another outstanding Hazardex event and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2021!
