Free software developed to help with ATEX and DSEAR design and verification
A range of free software has been developed by ExVeritas to assist people involved in the design or verification of ATEX and IEC products or sites with explosive atmospheres. The software runs ‘on line’ or can be downloaded as a desktop application under Windows. The software will also run as an iPhone/iTouch Web Application. Currently the software includes: FlamCal ATEX and IEC Flammable Properties Application: This application allows the user to select from several hundred common flammable substances to determine the physical properties that may be required for ATEX or IEC equipment selection or area classification. The signs are promising for new poster
The phasing out of the current 'Health and Safety Law Poster', which has been a familiar sight in every type of workplace across the UK for more than 10 years, is happening faster than expected with many organisations already choosing to display the brand new version. Workplace equipment provider Slingsby is one of the first companies to start selling the new poster and is already being inundated with orders for it. Crowcon has expanded the capabilities of its Tetra:3 (T3) personal multi-gas detector with three more toxic gas sensors: ozone (O3), sulphur dioxide (SO2) and ammonia (NH3).
