The Verlinde team have redesigned the mechanical system in order to eliminate the risk of sparks during use. All hoisting mechanical parts are either made of stainless steel or bronze. Gear pinions and gears are manufactured by machining and not by foundry. In addition, the hoods are chrome-plated and the hooks clad in bronze (60 µm –CuZn36 or CuZn39Pb2). The hand chain is in stainless steel (316L).

The ATEX version has the same technical performance as the standard VHR: load-limited devices, ISO hooks with safety latch, 3m standard height of lift (and more on demand).

Options include non-standard lifting height, stainless load chain, chain manifold, or the integration of a trolley.
