OBAC - Hazardex 2016 Exhibitor Profile

OBAC - Institute for Research and Certification - is a private conformity assessment body acting as an incorporated limited liability company. Since 1997 we have been conducting tests, approval and certification processes for products across a variety of industries.

Over the course of time, OBAC has extended its range of certification services, and is now accredited with the Polish Accreditation Centre, European Commission and IECEx Scheme relating to product certification, management system certification, and laboratory testing.
OBAC has the status of notified body No 1461 and acts within the following European Union directives:
- 94/9/EC ATEX
- 2006/42/EC  MD
- 2004/108/EC EMC
- 2006/95/EC LVD
- 2000/14/EC NEE
Our accredited laboratory - LABOREx - performs tests for conformity certification, to confirm requirements of national and international standards, as well as of EU directives.
For larger equipment, and depending on operational limitations, LABOREx personnel can perform equipment tests at the operations or manufacturing site, or at another site indicated by the customer.
OBAC certificates confirm that a given product meets adequate safety, functional or ergonomic requirements, increasing confidence in quality and facilitating imports and exports onto global markets.

OBAC’s objective and impartial approach, the competence of its personnel and the integrated management system in place at the Certification Body and Testing Laboratory ensure high confidence in its certification services and tests.
