Pepperl+Fuchs joins forces with mobile explosion protection pioneer ecom instruments

Pepperl+Fuchs, a global leader in explosion protection and industrial sensors, has announced the acquisition of ecom instruments GmbH, the world market leader for mobile industrial devices for hazardous areas. The company, domiciled at Assamstadt in Germany, achieved its position as technology leader by developing explosion proof cell phones, 4G smartphones and tablets.
With this acquisition, Pepperl+Fuchs complements its portfolio and know-how in explosion protection with mobile solutions.
