Seven killed in China coal mine blast

Seven people were killed in a coal mine gas explosion in southwest China's Guizhou Province, local authorities said on August 2. The explosion happened at a coal mine in Liangyan Town near the city of Bijie.

Eight people were trapped when the explosion occurred, and one person was rescued alive.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
