Encoders improve production control and reduce costs

The DFS60 can be used in the harshest of environments, enabling precision process control, improving quality, and reducing waste material.
There is a DFS60 to meet every requirement. Some variants enable on-site customer programmability, with line counts up to 65,536.
The precision facility enables the encoders to be programmed to meet application needs. It enables the encoder to be held as a replacement stock item, reducing spares stocking costs and ensuring machinery availability.
The bearings are separated as widely as possible, to achieve vibration-free running unmatched by any other encoder, increasing the life expectancy of the encoder.
IP65 protection, a high shock resistance of 70G and a wide operating temperature range, ensure that high precision speed and position indication is delivered even in the harshest industrial conditions.
The robustness of the DFS60 is due to the use of new pick-up technology which uses a nickel code disc. This technology reproduces the accuracy of traditional glass code discs, without their fragility. With a temperature range of -20º to +100ºC, it exceeds the physical capabilities of plastic discs, as well as achieving much better resolutions.
