Isolator range has models for safe environments

25 July 2008

In industrial environments, data transmission can be disrupted by interference, which especially distorts analog signals. Galvanic three-way isolators such as the recently launched ISpac device counteract these influences, ensuring a safer and more precise signal communication.

The ISpac product range for non-Ex i applications covers a wide functional range. An integrated error alert function enables users to quickly isolate malfunctions that occur. The flexible, innovative pac-Bus power supply concept allows for quick and easy installation in switching cabinets, where the units, which are only 17.6 mm wide – two-channel versions – save valuable space. However, even the modules for non-intrinsically safe field devices cannot do without explosion-protection features. Like all ISpac isolators, they have been approved for zone 2 installation.
