Biodiesel factory explosion kills two in India

An explosion at a biodiesel factory near Hyderabad, India killed two workers on May 13.

The incident took place at the Kandha biodiesel factory in Sangareddy district, around 70 miles (118km) west of Hyderabad.
The blast occurred at around 11:00 local time when several workers and a contractor were carrying out welding work. The owners of the factory announced an ex gratia payment of around Rs 15 lakh (£16,000) for the families of the deceased. Payments will also go to any injured workers to cover treatment costs.
An investigation has been opened by local police.
