Southampton Engineering Training Association (SETA)

The Southampton Engineering Training Association (SETA) was set up in 1969, and has been delivering industry-recognised training ever since being opened by Earl Mountbatten of Burma. It can be found just outside Southampton and is well situated with road and rail links and less than 10 miles from Southampton Airport.

SETA has played a key role in developing and transforming work forces for over 50 years and delivers accredited training on a commercial basis within their Training Centre, or onsite at employers’ premises, helping businesses maximise workforce competence.
In centre training includes a wide range of specialist electrical (including C&G accredited courses), hazardous area (CompEx), mechanical, welding and industrial courses offering full practical & theoretical training and assessment in line with the latest technical standards. This also covers areas such as Health & Safety, and safe use of equipment. SETA also works with employers to design bespoke courses, as well as offering adult NVQ’s on-site to assess competency.
As well as commercial courses, SETA also delivers a range of engineering based apprenticeships across electrical, electro-technical, design & draughtsperson, maintenance and mechanical subjects, as well as fabrication and welding all aimed at developing tomorrows engineers.
