Adipec confirms further speakers

Adipec 2008, one of the largest international petroleum exhibitions and conferences in the world, has confirmed the addition of even more influential speakers to its already impressive schedule. The conference, being held in Abu Dhabi from 3 November 2008 and organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, will host more than 200 speakers.

Speakers will deliver keynote addresses and participating in executive panels, 26 technical presentations, poster sessions, 10 panel discussions and plenaries. For the Peak Production Debate Panel, panelists Rick Vierbuchen of ExxonMobil, Waleed Al Mulhim of Saudi Aramco, Yoshikazu Kobayashi of The Institute for Energy Economics, and Christophe Ruehl of BP will be moderated by Nansen Saleri from the Leading Reservoirs Consultancy, and formerly of Aramco, while Chris Ball of Occidental and John Mills of Shell are confirmed panelists for ‘Future Gas Development’ which will be moderated by Andrew Vaughan of Shell.

The conference ‘Working Together to Deliver Sustainable Growth: Innovative Teams and Technology Deployment’ includes one of the most anticipated topics of the exhibition, “Technology Deployment in a Collaborative Environment” and ADIPEC can now confirm that panelists Mohamed Badri of Schlumberger, Joe Leone of Shell, Gilles Bitoun of Total and Al Riddle of Baker Hughes will be taking part in this panel, moderated by Anass Al Chalabi of Weatherford.

Other speakers that have been added to the line up include Aqeel Maddi of NPCC, Ali Al Ajmi of Saudi Aramco, Andrew Brown of Pearl GTL Project, Shell, Dave Clarkson of BP and Christophe Virondaud of Technip, who will be discussing ‘Project Management in a Changing Contracting Environment’ which addresses real challenges faced by the oil and gas industry as it moves forward into the future.
