ATEX photovoltaic energy at scale

04 January 2022

With days becoming longer again in the Northern hemisphere, ATEX System is working on a large batch of fifty photovoltaic ATEX skids comprising enhanced safety Ex e battery boxes, flameproof Ex d enclosures containing battery charges, inverters, switchgear and if required instrumentation and communication equipment (both battery packs and enclosures are certified for Zone 1 and manufactured by ATEX System), ATEX light fixtures, and ATEX solar panels.

ATEX PV skids, long confined to offshore platforms, are now proving useful and economical in remote locations on land, particularly for early production facilities (EPF) where renewable energy will be powering wellhead instrumentation, wireless data communications for IoT & digital oilfield and providing lighting in hazardous areas.

This project is a great source of motivation for the ATEX System team as we all hope to make a contribution to a more sustainable future. ATEX System is a global provider of complete electrical solutions for hazardous atmospheres.
