gasQS™ gas quality measurement supports you in the upcoming energy market challenges!

26 April 2022

Mems AG has been developing and optimising cost-effective correlative measuring devices for the gas sector for almost 20 years. The devices provide you with the necessary knowledge about the quality of your gas by continuously measuring relevant process parameters on site. In this way, the full potential can be utilised in the most diverse areas of application.

The gasQS™ measuring equipment allows the measurement of heat conductivity, heat capacity and, by means of an additional flow measurement using a critical nozzle, the measurement of density. These physical quantities are used to make conclusions about gas quality factors such as the hydrogen content, the methane number, the Wobbe number or the calorific value.

The correlative measurement method uses sophisticated mathematical functions to establish the relationship between a set of effectively measured physical quantities and the set of quantities actually to be determined. These interrelations must be proved through causality, i.e. a directly connected cause and its effect. With our profound knowledge of the physical background, we ensure this direct connection. This knowledge also allows us to predict the accuracy of the measurement for any gas mixture.
