Showing the way in hazardous areas

04 August 2008

The explosion-protected LED escape sign luminaire from Cooper Crouse-Hinds GmbH fulfils the extremely high requirements for explosion protection, and the legal requirements for emergency and safety lighting installations. It is capable of safely showing the right way even in complex and often badly laid out industrial installations with potentially explosive atmospheres.

The white LED technology used for the illuminants guarantees maintenance-free operation with no replacing of illuminants throughout the complete service life of the luminaire. This reduces the operating costs and increases the operational safety, particularly in locations that are not easily accessible. The supply circuits of the LEDs are intrinsically safe. Due to the wide input voltage range, the luminaire can be used internationally.

The luminaire has a visibility range of 25 m.

The luminaire is built in accordance with the ATEX directive and can, therefore, be used in hazardous areas in Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
