British Red Cross launches online catalogue

24 September 2008

Following the successful introduction of their training courses iBrochure earlier this year, the British Red Cross is launching an online products and supplies catalogue.
Produced in conjunction with Cheshire based Marketing Innovation Group, the products and supplies iBrochure is a simple and straightforward resource for anyone with first aid and health and safety responsibilities.

Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 state that adequate and appropriate equipment and facilities should be provided to enable the provision of first aid if someone becomes ill or injured at work. Employers are also responsible for meeting the first aid needs of staff working away from the main site, for example those who are based at remote locations and those who travel regularly. The Red Cross provides a wide range of products, including large, basic and motorist's first aid kits to help companies meet their legal responsibilities. In addition, there are a wide range of support materials designed to supplement the first aid at work training courses, such as first aid manuals, posters and training mannequins.

The interactive nature of the brochure allows the content to be kept constantly up to date, reflecting current stock position or special offers. By viewing the catalogue online it also reduces the environmental impact that is associated with traditional printed resources.

For the Red Cross, the introduction of the iBrochure range is more than just a sound environmental and business decision. After operating costs are taken off, all the money raised through the sale of Red Cross first aid products goes to support the vital humanitarian work of the society both at home and abroad. The iBrochures not only ensure that customers are always able to access the most up to date product information but also save print and postage costs. These are savings that are fed directly back into the charity to help people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.
