Universal signal conditioner offers flexibility

06 October 2008

With its Wave TTA (Transmitter Trip Amplifier), Weidmüller offers a universal signal conditioner and trip amplifier. The inputs and outputs can be individually configured using a PC and interface module. Equipped with a wide-range power supply the Wave TTA ensures precise operations with all common sensor types.

The unit isolates, transmits and linearises sensor signals and supplies standardised analogue current and voltage signals to the output. For alarm functions there are two relay contacts with configurable switching thresholds. The Wave TTA can be deployed without restrictions in temperatures from -40 to 70 °C.

Users are able to choose between standard or scalable DC current and voltage ranges for linear and/or galvanically separated analogue outputs. Their configuration can be direct or inverted. The output response to an open-circuit fault can be configured to the respective maximum or minimum value.

The signal conditioner and trip amplifier Wave TTA carries the CE mark. Other approvals such as C1D2 and Zone 2 (ATEX) for hazardous areas as well as NEPSI (National Supervision and Inspection Center for Explosion Protection and Safety of Instrumentation) are being prepared.
