Due to huge demand from customers, the Red Cross has released dates of their scheduled first aid at work courses through to September 2009. This enables companies to plan up to a year ahead for this essential training.

British Red Cross training dates announced
In April 2008 the landmark legislation on Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide came into effect, making it easier for companies rather than individuals to be found accountable for lapses in health and safety. In light of this it has never been more essential to put first aid training at the forefront of your business management strategy.
To help meet the increased demand for training, British Red Cross has opened a number of new and modernised venues across the UK that are able to offer delegates the latest technology to boost their training experience.
In addition, a range of services have been introduced to help businesses check their level of compliance with HSE guidelines, stay abreast of changes in the health and safety and first aid sectors and simplify the booking process.
Interactive iBrochures have been developed for both training courses and products and supplies. These brochures provide direct links to the Red Cross First Aid Training website which allows customers to search for courses in their local area and the facility to access real time booking. Also contained within the new, environmentally friendly brochures is a section with updates and latest news, bringing viewers the latest industry intelligence and updates to health and safety legislation.
Provision of effective first aid in the workplace is something that, at one time or another, could affect every worker in the UK. It is something that is often forgotten or pushed to the bottom of the agenda as something to be dealt with when there is more time or more money, but evidence of up to date first aid training is key to reducing risk and developing a culture of health and safety consciousness within your company.
