BARTEC and Extronics agree on acquisition

BARTEC has announced that it will acquire the British IIoT specialist Extronics. The company is a global developer and manufacturer of connectivity and IIoT infrastructure as well as asset and people tracking systems for hazardous areas.

“The acquisition of Extronics is the consequent next step for BARTEC to evolve into the world’s leading provider of digital infrastructure and equipment for hazardous areas. The combined portfolio will now be the most comprehensive in the market and allows our customers to implement industrial IIoT networks and mobile devices. I look forward to the integration of the new employees, which we welcome to BARTEC with their very special know-how," explains Dr. Martin U. Schefter, CEO BARTEC.

The contract of sale was signed on 5 September 2023. The closing is subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.
