BARTEC and Extronics agree on acquisition

BARTEC has announced that it will acquire the British IIoT specialist Extronics. The company is a global developer and manufacturer of connectivity and IIoT infrastructure as well as asset and people tracking systems for hazardous areas.

The combined portfolio will now be the most comprehensive in the market and allows our customers to implement industrial IIoT networks and mobile devices. Founded in 1992 by John Hartley, Extronics currently employs 42 people. Over the last decades, Extronics has evolved into a leading developer of digital infrastructure and asset and people tracking solutions.

The contract of sale was signed on 5 September 2023. The closing is subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.
