UK LED lighting firm has been announced.

With the backing of the Signal House Group, SH Lighting, will be structured as a ‘stand alone’ company, deliberately focused to bridge the innovation gap between science and industry by developing and exploiting ranges of LED lighting and sub-sea enclosure products for use in harsh environments and arduous industrial areas.

As well as developing their own range of innovative LED lighting products, SH Lighting, will also bring innovative solid state lighting solutions and specialist enclosure products from established companies from around the world to the UK and European home markets. At the same time the business will offer sales solutions to third party product developers, wishing to enter the growing UK, European and Middle Eastern markets.

The company, which is based in Barrow-in-Furness, will be headed up by two previous senior Directors of Marl International, - Hazardous Industry professional Gary Ashburner with more than seven years experience in the Oil and Gas market including five years as the MD for the largest hazardous area electrical equipment manufacturer in Europe, Bartec, and Richard Gill, who’s reputation in the industry is already well known with over 20 years experience gained whilst Regional General Manager with Seoul Semi-Conductor and as Global Account Manager with Philips Lumileds, during which time, he generated over $40 million in sales with Nokia and Sony Ericsson.

Ashburner explained the company’s ethos, “Our aim is to further develop established principles into new working solutions, which will deliver a competitive advantage for our growing list of worldwide industrial clients”.

Gill added, “With our combined understanding of the rapid technological advancements in the field of LED efficiency, we intend to provide new products and total solutions which, though only a small step, will go some way to meet the increasing demand from humanity, for industry to reduce carbon footprints, save energy & maintenance costs”.

SH Lighting, boasts a fully equipped in-house R & D department, and offers prototype to complete manufacturing facilities, which enables the design and development of solid state lighting solutions and sub-sea enclosures intended for use in some of the most demanding applications on the planet.
