Hima-Sella celebrates 35 years with two major contracts
27 February 2009
Not one, but two major contracts have given Hima-Sella double the reason to celebrate its 35th birthday. Marking three and a half decades in business in February 2009, Hima-Sella continues to defy the current global economic downturn.

Hima-Sella celebrates 35 years with two major contracts
The first contract - from a major UK blue chip company - is for Himax, the latest HIMA safety programmable logic controller being distributed exclusively in the UK by Hima-Sella and a groundbreaking, patented technology that guarantees uninterrupted system operation.
Metronet Rail SSL has also awarded Hima-Sella a multi-million pound contract to fit Tracklink III, its unique selective door opening and correct side door enabling system to 191 new tube trains over a five-year period. Hima-Sella exhibits Tracklink III at Railtex 2009, in March.
The company’s 35-year anniversary also gives Hima-Sella an opportunity to recognise its seven longest-serving members of staff, with a combined 185 years’ service between them.
Managing director Ian Wright said: “While many are suffering the effects of the current recession, at Hima-Sella we have so much to celebrate. This is anything but a financial low-point for us, and these two exciting contracts represent fantastic timing for our 35th anniversary. And the fact that we have such a dedicated, long-serving team of staff only adds to our continued success.”
