Plant Resource Manager (PRMT) upgrade

Yokogawa Electric Corporation has upgraded its Plant Resource Manager (PRMTM), version R3.03. PRM is an integrated device management software package that centrally manages the parameters of various types of field devices, monitors the status of these devices, and performs online device diagnosis.

With this R3.03 upgrade, PRM has been enhanced to improve its integration with the Stardom network-based control system, which is widely used in upstream processing facilities. Furthermore, support of Windows VistaR has been added. By running on the newest operating system and supporting other up-to-date software application programs, R3.03 improves the efficiency of online monitoring and diagnosis.
With this upgrade, PRM now supports the enhanced EDDL graphic user interface, making it possible to efficiently display a wider variety of data including graphs, charts, and groups.The Electronic Device Description Language (EDDL) is an international standard protocol for describing device information such as manufacturer name, model name, and measuring range.
