Pipe Center, part of the Wolseley group, has introduced a range of passive fire protection products. The range is designed to help maintain the safety of public, private, commercial and historic buildings by using innovative technology to help contain fires.
Passive fire protection products
Items include firestop collars and intumescent pipe wraps, intended to prevent the passage of fire and reduce smoke migration, where plastic pipes pass through compartment walls and floors. PFC Corofil Acoustic Intumescent Sealant forms a fire resistant seal around metal pipe and cable penetrations, in addition to reducing noise levels – particularly beneficial in apartment developments.
