Profibus repeater with power supply redundancy

Procentec has launched a compact Profibus repeater which achieves optimum performance and reliability on behalf of speed, signal quality and user-friendliness.
The advanced 12 Mbps core of the repeater allows unlimited cascading and transmits a stronger signal than regular Profibus equipment. The repeater is constantly monitoring the data for corrupted bits and tries to recover them to their original state.

Diagnostic LEDs for each channel indicate communication problems and data transfer. Both channels are equipped with on-board switchable termination and can drive 31 devices. A DB9 connector is provided to attach ProfiTrace or other maintenance/engineering tool. The power supply is redundant which makes it suitable for applications in which high availability is required.
