Condensate leak at Kollsnes investigated

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has implemented an investigation after a condensate leak in the processing facility at Kollsnes in Øygarden, Hordaland on 19 May.
The leak occurred outdoors and resulted in an emergency shut-down and evacuation of the facility. No people were injured in the incident.

Two people from the PSA travelled to Kollsnes on Wednesday, 20 May to investigate the incident.
The purpose of the investigation includes clarifying the chain of events and identifying the direct and underlying causes. The investigation will result in a report, which will be published on the PSA website.
Gassco is the operator of Kollsnes. StatoilHydro is technical service provider (TSP) for the facility.
